Rotations

Graduate Student Dane Kawano Presenting a Poster at the Department Retreat. Spring 2022.

Please reach out to our PI expressing your interest in rotating for the quarter. You will meet with our PI in-person, where you will talk about your interests and background. Rotations allow students to learn about the lab's research, our resources, and community before committing to a research lab. Generally, the rotation is decided at the end of this meeting. Your rotation is mentored by Kang as you work on a project with a senior member of the lab. At the end of your rotation, you will present the work you did during the quarter at one of our lab meetings and have a final discussion with our PI.

Joining the Lab

After your rotation, please reach out to our PI if you would like to join the lab! You will meet with our PI regularly to hone in on your own project, and have the rest of the lab supporting you through your graduate journey!

MSTP students may inquire directly to Kang Shen.

Visiting Student Researchers

Sponsorship for non-matricualted graduate students is generally limited. Please reach out to our PI to discuss this opportunity directly. Stanford Guidance on VSRs
